CLIMATE CHANGE: THE ISSUE ON EVERYONE’S MIND.

A recent poll by Ipsos MORI concluded that more people are worrying about climate change now then ever before. Climate concerns received its highest score since 1988 proving that the effects of climate change are undoubtably a huge concern for British people.

The survey of 1,001 people also shows that almost half of those aged 55 and older said the environment was a big issue. That compares with just over four-in-ten of those aged 35-54 and a little over a quarter of those aged 18-34.

The issue of climate change and pollution affects us all and people of all age groups are acknowledging the need to reduce carbon emissions and minimise waste.

Mike Clemence, a researcher at Ipsos MORI, said: “Concern about the environment and climate change has reached its highest-ever score in this month’s Ipsos MORI Issues Index – likely an impact of the COP26 conference.”

This might be true but the outcomes from COP26 will have longer lasting effects and the changes made as a result of the conference will have a huge impact in the fight against climate change.
