We specialise in metal pressing in different formats and materials, everything from high strength alloys to stainless steel, and now HFQ © aluminum which allows complex shapes to be formed in a single press operation. We offer a complementary range of surface finishing technologies; we also collect and deliver using our own fleet of HGV vehicles.
SDE Lightweight Engineering is dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of lightweighting solutions for automotive, aerospace and other industrial and consumer sectors. We offer a complete engineering service from concept through to production.
SDE Powder Coating & Surface Technologies, as the name suggests, provides a range of surface finishing technologies for different types of metals.
SDE Logistics including Salop Haulage has grown out of the other two divisions as the vehicle for delivering finished products to customers. The logistics arm of SDE operates under the name Salop Haulage
We have performed a macro-level analysis of our energy consumption alongside Pro Enviro, but we have recently undergone a micro-level assessment using micrometers. These can help us identify where our greatest energy consumption is occuring, and take action to reduce our overall consumption and emissions.
Through a detailed study, it was identified that nearly 41% of the air utilised by our compressors was lost through leaks or inefficient utilisation. We have now installed new compressors that alleviate many of the issues we were dealing with prior, reducing overall energy consumption.
