In late January 2020, a campaign was launched for a "Greener NHS". Dr Nick Watts and an expert panel to set out a practical, evidence-based and quantified path to a net-zero NHS. The climate emergency can be considered a health emergency because climate change threatens the foundations of good health, with direct and immediate consequences for patients, the public and the NHS.
